Location

Conservation Academy is on private land, Craig Doone, in the malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa,  about 120 km from the major coastal city of Port Elizabeth, and 10km from Grahamstown, centre of education and home to the famous National Arts Festival.

There are several ‘big five’ private game reserves nearby – Amakhala, Kariega, Kwantu, Lalibela, Pumba and Shamwari. The Addo Elephant National Park is about 1hr 30min drive away.

Directions to Conservation Academy on Craig Doone

From Grahamstown:

Craig Doone is 10km from Grahamstown travelling towards Port Elizabeth, take a sharp right off the N2 into the driveway, about 800m after passing Stone Crescent Hotel (on your left). If you reach the Kenton-on Sea/Alexandria junction off the N2 (on your left) you have gone too far. Be warned; this is a dangerous turning off the N2 highway.

From Port Elizabeth:

Craig Doone is about 10km from Grahamstown on the left off the N2 travelling from PE. About 1km after the Kenton-on-Sea/Alexandria T-junction (on your right) take a sharp left into the Craig Doone driveway. If you reach Stone Crescent Hotel you've gone too far. Be warned; this is a dangerous turning off the N2 highway.
